Carved Tibetan prayer Mani Stones

Mani Stones come from an ancient Tibetan Buddhist religious custom and Mani Stones are traditionally carved by Tibetans and placed at pilgrimage sites, along pilgrimage routes and outside monasteries. Tibetans do kora at mani walls with  great respect. Mani stones used for two basic purposes. The first purpose of a Mani stone is to remove obstacles for living sentient creatures, while the second purpose is to purify the karma of the deceased being, so that it may more easily and successfully move on to a higher, happier rebirth.
